The Feudal system is a system where the king that owns lots of land gives it to their allies for labor and military services. The king then becomes the allies (nobles) lord and they are the vassal. The nobles then give the peasants (serfs) land in return for goods. The noble becomes the serf's lord and the serf is the vassal. In this system, you can be a vassal and a lord at the same time. I think it was a good system for the time period because everyone was interested in money, land, and power and that is what you got out of Feudalism if you were high enough in the system. If this system were used in modern times I think today's world would go down in chaos. For example, some people wouldn't want to serve others and "nobles" might want more land. It was right for the middle ages, it would never work today.
The knights had to follow these rules because if you one person didn't do their job someone wont get the land, protection, or labor for their work they did. Making them not want to work anymore and after a little while everyone will stop working and the whole system will fall apart.
Knight Poem
Following the Code of Chivalry
All 10 laws
Never falling
Not losing brawls
Respecting all
Finishing with a ball
Ending above all
I would rather be a knight because they get land and and more armor for protection.
