Ancient Romans had many advantages from the geography of where the lived. For example, the Alps let the Romans be able to see all of their enemies around them. Another advantage they had is they were able to fish and they had a surplus of water since they were so close to the Mediterranean Sea. Also, they had the Latium Plain so they had a big space to farm crops. Living in Ancient Rome would give them many advantages.
Even though they had many advantages they also had many disadvantages. For example, since they lived so close to the Mediterranean Sea they had a higher chance of flooding. Also, the Latium Plain was such a good place to live many people did so it became very busy. Another disadvantage is, the alps were hard to get around so it would take a long time to get to the place you wanted to be. Living in Ancient Rome would give them many disadvantages to.

Romulus wanted his new city to be near the Tiber River because he could use the water for bathing, drinking, farming etc. Although they would have advantages they would also have disadvantages for example, enemies could get to their city easier and they would have a higher chance of flooding.
