Alexander the Great could be both considered a hero and a villain for many reasons. For example, Alexander the Great could be called a villain since he bought and sold many slaves. I would consider Alexander the Great a hero since, he spread the culture of Greek to many people, unified Greece by putting down rebellion, showed compassion towards citizens, and also founded many cities. In my opinion Alexander the Great is a hero because he did many more good things than bad.
Alexander the Great's Three Wishes
"My physicians alone must carry my coffin." - Alexander is trying to say that no doctor can really cure any body and that they are powerless, and can not save anyone from death.
"I desire that when my coffin is being carried to the grave, the path leading to the graveyard be strewn with gold, silver and precious stones which I have collected in my treasury"- Alexander is trying to say don't waste your life on money because you will have to leave it behind.
"Both my hands be kept dangling out of my coffin"- Alexander wants to show everyone that he came into this world empty handed and he will leave empty handed.
Alexander the Great's Impacts on the World
Alexander the great had a very big impact on the spreading of hellenistic culture. For example, every time he conquered new land he would spread the culture to the citizens, which they would then spread it to more people making it well know back than. Some of the types of culture he spread were Greek language, attitudes, philosophy. One affect of this is the fact that Alexander helped create the way to the Hellenistic culture and was the cause of its spread throughout the Middle East.
